Job Description

We are seeking an energetic architectural intern looking to advance their professional design career in a variety of sectors and project types. Design, technical and digital proficiency are the hallmarks of our preferred candidate.

This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, prepare sketches, drawings, renderings for the design of various project assignments.

  • Perform basic architectural activities including preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.

  • Preparing specifications, reports, and related data tables.

  • Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups

  • Work within a team environment, both locally and across the various AECOM offices

  • Coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.

  • Assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have completed their Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Architecture

  • Proficiency in Revit

  • An understanding of building systems and construction detailing

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong presentation skills. Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Sketchup, Adobe CS, Microsoft Office, Outlook

  • Proficiency in other 3D and modeling/simulation programs an asset

  • High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning

  • Must be dedicated to working hard with an all-hands-on-deck attitude towards completing the work efficiently and accurately

Additional Information

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

  • Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $60,000.00 to $70,000.00.
