Responsibilities

::: {#win0divHRSSCHWRKDESCR100grp$1} ::: {#win0divHRSSCHPSTDSCDESCRLONG$1} The Ringling HR Representative provides administrative support and assists with various HR functions at The Ringling Museum (located in Sarasota, FL) in the Human Resources Office. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Administrative functions including purchasing, budget monitoring, and interdepartmental payments.
  • Enthusiastic customer service answering general HR-related inquiries (phone/email/in-person) and, as needed, routing to the most appropriate Ringling HR team member.
  • Processes all outgoing and sorts all incoming U.S. mail using a postage machine. Runs monthly mail reports for Accounting, creates shipping/mailing labels, and orders shipping supplies.
  • Coordinates the review, tracking, and documentation of compliance trainings, staff safety certification trainings, and other job specific trainings.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records, performing periodic audits.
  • Researches and compiles information for Ringling employee communications.

As needed, this role:

  • Supports recruitment functions, conducts employee onboarding, compiles new hire information packets and forms, facilitates new Ringling badges and FSU cards, and orders replacements.
  • Maintains labor law and other required posters across campus.
  • Aides in the planning and execution of special events such as organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Assists with special projects, presentations, and other tasks.
  • Serves as backup for Ringling Volunteer Services administrative functions and volunteer intakes and may provide administrative support to other Ringling departments based on the needs of The Ringling.

Skills important to this role include:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Working effectively in a team environment and establishing/maintaining positive working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Effective and professional communication via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Problem-solving oriented with the ability to handle unexpected or difficult situations in the workplace. ::: ::: ::: :::

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Anticipated Salary Range
