Responsibilities
Research, design and develop manufacturing processes to improve flow
Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
Design, develop, test and/or source various tools, machinery and equipment
Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
Lead problem solving and continuous improvement teams.
Work with leaders in the business to determine needs and projects.
Evaluate data and implement technological improvements
Evaluate employees’ tasks and responsibilities
Other duties as assigned.
Quantifies and reports on the cost-benefit of projects
Education
Bachelor’s degree with a major in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
0-2 years of relevant experience
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards
Understanding of lean manufacturing and process control
Critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
Understanding of ergonomics
Project management
Able to perform cost-benefit analyses and present to leadership in a simple format
Able to present complex information to management and other stakeholders
Design, develop, test and/or source various tools, machinery and equipment
Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
Lead problem solving and continuous improvement teams.
Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) platforms
Lean Yellow Belt certification or higher
Intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel
