Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Lead to support the Power & Controls Digital Controls Product line. In this role, you will serve as the key liaison for all Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality aspects for New Product Integration (NPI), Cold Start Initiatives (CSI), and proposal evaluation throughout the product life.
This role collaborates with procurement, quality assurance, contracts, customer facing program office, design and manufacturing engineering. The Lead is instrumental to the Program Management Team (PMT) to deliver well-executed and up to date Manufacturing Transition and Build Plans to progress into the Production phase.
This position will sit at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
This role is categorized as hybrid , with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
What YOU will do:
Primary point of contact for operations that sits on the program IPT.
Owner of the manufacturing build plan ensuring manufacturing/test readiness, producibility, MRL, and pre-production on all development programs.
Assess sub-tier capability to support production rate and develop action plans where required.
Collaborate with manufacturing sites, suppliers, and engineering to develop plan to achieve design to cost targets.
Drive rapid closure to issues as they arise, including quality, sub-tier and operational excellence issues.
Support capacity analysis to identify bottlenecks, derive solutions, and develop budgets to drive optimal production rates.

Qualifications you must have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
Knowledge of execution system like SAP and Tableau.
Knowledge and use of Microsoft 365 (Office) Edge, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word.
Experience developing solutions to problems of medium scope and complexity.
Knowledge of Product Life Cycle processes and milestones.
Familiar with AS9145, APQP and IAQG Standards.
Knowledge of electronics design, manufacturing and testing
