HIRING!!!! $30-40/HR - Lead CNC Mill Setup Machinist

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled CNC Mill Setup Machinist to join our machine shop in Santa Fe Springs, CA. The position is for the day shift (7:00am - 3:30pm) and involves setting up and operating a Brother 5 axis CNC machine. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in aerospace machining and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Brother 5 axis CNC machines.

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Perform inspections to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

• Handle offsets and changeovers.

• Ensure efficient operation of the machine and maintain quality standards.

Essential Skills

• Experience in a machine shop environment.

• Ability to set up and operate CNC machines.

• Proficiency in blueprint and schematic reading.

• Strong inspection skills.

• Experience with tight tolerances.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Effective communication skills in English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in an aerospace machine shop is a huge plus.

Work Environment

You will work in a 50,000 sq/ft machine shop with over 50 CNC machines. The shop operates on the 1st shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm. The facility handles parts for jet fighters, commercial airplanes, helicopters, satellites, race cars, medical equipment, and water pumps. It is important that candidates are comfortable working in an environment where military components are manufactured.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
