Oracle Principal Product Manager/Strategy in Santa Fe, New Mexico
Job Description
The Java Platform Group is looking for a principal product manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping set our product strategy for our Java SE Subscription customers, ensuring that our offerings meets their needs. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with cross-functional and cross-organizational teams across Oracle, including development, testing, documentation, and marketing. The candidate must be a strong customer advocate with deep technical skills related to lifecycle management of Java and associated libraries.

Responsibilities
Work closely with development, testing, documentation, and marketing teams to develop and deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs.
Understand market trends and competitive landscape to inform product strategy and decision-making.
Manage product lifecycle from ideation to end-of-life, including gathering and prioritizing requirements, defining product features, and working with development teams to deliver on product roadmap.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, to present product vision, roadmap, and progress updates.
Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of Software distribution and deployment models used in complex systems
Detailed understanding of common practices for updating production systems including
Use of RPM repositories and best practices for creating and offering RPM packages
Automation of Software Updates
Commonly used cloud deployment models and practices
Familiarity with different software licensing options
Deep familiarity with commonly used dev-ops tools, products, and practices in particular for managing Java Applications on Linux Systems.
Experience in open-source development, adoption, and monetization strategies

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $92,900 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
