Pipefitter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pipelayer to join our team and work on our Santa Clarita projects. As a Pipelayer, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining underground pipes for water, sewer, and drainage systems. This role requires ensuring proper alignment and connections while adhering to industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Excavating trenches for pipelines using heavy machinery.

• Positioning and aligning pipes, ensuring proper connections and sealing joints.

• Covering pipes with soil and restoring the ground to its original condition after installation.

• Inspecting installed pipelines for integrity and functionality, adhering to industry standards.

• Maintaining existing pipelines and repairing any damage or leaks.

• Following safety procedures and regulations when working with heavy machinery and in potentially hazardous environments.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in pipe fitting and pipe laying.

• Experience in construction general labor.

• Ability to operate heavy equipment for excavation and installation.

• Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation.

• Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in new construction projects.

• Ability to work from 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays.

Work Environment

You will be working on new construction sites, primarily focusing on pipefitting and pipelaying tasks. The work hours are from 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays as needed. Safety is a top priority, and all work will be conducted following strict safety regulations and procedures.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
