Overview

ABM Industries is seeking a Commercial Electricians to join our Electrical Power Services team in CA. The Electrician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and updating electrical equipment at a local work site located in Santa Clara, CA. This position requires minimum travel as almost all work will be at the client's site & work includes installing power sources and wiring. It may also include troubleshooting electrical problems, restoring power when failures occur and designing circuitry for special projects. The Electrician assists area staff when required by responding to requests and keeping managers informed of issues and problems. The Electrician may install and maintain motors and electrical equipment including controls for lighting, machines, and instruments. The Electrician will complete work orders, track materials and documents all electrical work according to company and facility requirements.

Pay: $40-$45 Hourly , the pay listed is the salary range for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package. Essential Duties

• Perform (IR) Infrared Thermography Scans of Electrical Switchgear. ABM will provide necessary training and certification to successfully become a certified IR Technician level 1.

• Prepare Thermography Reports with provided software

• Use Hand and Battery-operated tools to safely remove Switchgear covers and doors to expose energized electrical connections.

• Ensures that all projects are competed timely in accordance with established quality standards and procedures.

• Coordinates closely with related departments to maintain schedules and effect necessary revisions are required.

• Achieves high customer satisfaction through effective communication of both technical and non-technical topics with all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.

• Exhibits project leadership, and effective decision making throughout each project and consistently deliver projects that meet all stakeholder requirements and are fully commissioned, qualified, and ready for start-up/occupancy.

• Ensure all safety regulations are closely adhered to; completes related documentation as required.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Job duties may be modified at any time.

In this role, you may travel up to 10% of the time locally if you volunteer to work at our ABM office in Pleasanton, CA on weekends for overtime purposes but this is not required.
