We are searching for the best talent for our MedTech Surgery, Brand Operations Manager position, based out of Santa Clara, CA or Cincinnati, OH.

The Brand Operations Manager for OTTAVA™ Robotic Surgical System will be key player in Johnson & Johnson’s emergence into the soft tissue robotic surgery market. This role will help build and manage OTTAVA brand strategy and brand operations capability. Focus will be on copy review management; the management of creative vendors and creative briefs; management and digital distribution of creative assets; and the management, distribution, and training on brand standards for both internal and external audiences​.

As a J&J brand operations manager, this individual will work closely with the J&J MedTech sector Brand Operations team to support and influence the brand governance approach advancing the needs of the sector. In addition, the role partners closely with our corporate functions, in legal, finance, regulatory, and external design and strategy teams to ensure that all governance models and resources, owned and developed by this team, are of the highest level of standards and usability across the sector

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage creation of OTTAVA copy review process in collaboration with global strategic marketing (GSM) colleagues and other business stakeholders.

  • Manage projects with creative vendors, including the writing and reviewing of creative briefs

  • Create and oversee digital guidelines and asset management processes and any implied internal communications

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials, including digital, print, and social media

  • Manage implementation of OTTAVA brand expressions in key partnerships and activations, including asset and guideline creation, management, and governance.

  • Manage and publish OTTAVA-specific guidelines, and training of teams on their use

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree within Marketing, design, communications, or relevant discipline is required. Advanced degree preferred.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of corporate brand side or creative agency experience within a highly regulated environment

  • Ability to effectively partner across multiple teams, blend together multiple points of view, and arrive at the best solutions

  • Skills managing complexity and a demonstrated ability to manage and influence all levels of an organization

  • Strong executional understanding of brand identity and brand strategy frameworks and practices.

  • Experience conducting internal training sessions and workshops on branding, marketing, and communications topics

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with creative agencies

  • Design experience and capability (you will be expected to create and present POVs of research, brand strategy, guidelines, and governance documents)

  • Excellent organizational and executional skills

  • Understanding of regulatory, trademark and HCC

  • Experience implementing and maintaining digital asset catalogs, and familiarity with marketing and creative operations software programs

  • Strong writing skills

Other:

  • This position will be based out of Santa Clara, CA. or Cincinnati, OH. and may require up to 20% travel (International and Domestic)

  • The anticipated base pay range for this position for this position is $100,000 to $172,500

  • If based out of the Bay Area, CA. The anticipated base pay range for this role is $114,000 to $197,800
