We are searching for a meticulous and experienced Data analyst to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating our HMIS database with accurate and complete information, analyzing data to inform policy decisions, and providing training and support to HMIS users.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update the HMIS database with accurate and complete information on individuals and families

• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations

• Develop and implement procedures for data entry, validation, and quality assurance

• Analyze HMIS data to identify trends, patterns, and disparities

• Generate regular and ad hoc reports for internal stakeholders, government agencies, and funding organizations

• Translate complex data into actionable insights to inform policy decisions and program improvements

• Manage daily updates to mapping software for specific projects

• Collaborate with service providers, government agencies, and community organizations to coordinate data collection efforts and share best practices

• Participate in meetings, workgroups, and training related to homelessness and HMIS usage

• Serve as a liaison between the HMIS team and other stakeholders to address data-related issues and concerns

• Provide training and technical assistance to HMIS users on data entry protocols, system functionalities, and reporting requirements

• Offer troubleshooting support to resolve data-related issues and ensure user proficiency with the HMIS platform

• Stay informed about developments in HMIS technology, data management best practices, and policies

• Recommend and implement enhancements to the HMIS database, reporting tools, and data analysis methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements

• Skilled in using Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook

• Ability to work with Microsoft Word

• Experience with About Time software

• Understanding of Billing Functions

• Experience in performing Clerical Duties

• Ability to manage Correspondence

• Strong Customer Service skills

• Knowledge of Tableau software

• Familiarity with SQL programming

• Prior experience in a similar role as a Sr. Data Entry Clerk

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of organizational skills and attention to detail

• Demonstrated capacity to handle high volumes of data entry

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
