Position Purpose:

Responsible for analyzing executed commercial loan documents to validate for loan coding, billing, and funding. This includes both new originations and modifications of existing commercial loan types prepared in various forms. Performing daily reviews of prior business such as New Loan Edits and Maintenance Reports for quality and accuracy. Maintaining data integrity of all information related to the documentation and funding process for privacy, reporting and audit purposes.

Description of Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations:

· Conduct a thorough and complete review of loan documentation, identify/document exceptions to policy, and interpret the information for the purpose of booking the deal to all pertinent bank systems.

· To ensure loan files are complete and fully booked accurately in accordance with department procedure and guidelines.

· Assist with central scanning and indexing for commercial loan channels to ensure the document retention system is complete and accurate.

· Complete new loan edits and loan maintenance within timelines established in department procedures.

· File miscellaneous documents for recording with state and county governing boards.

· Must be able to use multiple systems and programs to gather data to complete data fields for systems of record.

· Comply with all FDIC regulations and other banking standards.

· Resolve problems related to booking issues and carry out specialized research.

· Record and track booking and processing discrepancies.

· Understanding of the end-to-end lending process

· Ability to review and comprehend legal documentation.

· Experience with and a thorough understanding of commercial loan documentation, including interpreting credit agreements.

· Ability to interpret Credit Policy and apply to functions assigned.

· Understanding of loan closing process, including the accounting for fees, and closing costs

· Lending compliance knowledge

· Loan accounting and reconciliation experience.

· Proven ability to work with a team as well as other business partners such as Loan Officers, Lending Assistants and Credit Analysts.

· Embraces continuous improvement and can be a change agent.

· To assist with additional loan operation roles, as requested or necessary

Requirements:

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

· 1-3 years of related loan processing experience and/or training for all types of loans -- SBA, Participations, Lines of Credits, Real Estate, Commercial and Industrial (C & I), Construction, and various Consumer loan types.

· Work related experience should consist of Clerical, Bookkeeping or Accounting, or Business.

· Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.

· High School diploma or equivalent required.

· A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a sensitive nature. Outside contact becomes important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (customers, vendors, etc.) becomes necessary.

· Solid working knowledge of banking industry practices relative to bank loan operations with respect to loan products, services, and terminology.

· Ability to work in a deadline-oriented and fast-paced office environment.

· Basic knowledge of related state and federal lending and compliance laws and regulations, and other Bank lending policies.
