A growing construction company in North County, CA is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper to oversee all aspects of their financial operations. This role is ideal for someone with expertise in job costing and managing the financial complexities of the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.

• Handle job costing, tracking expenses for specific projects and ensuring profitability.

• Prepare monthly financial reports, analyze variances, and assist with budgeting.

• Reconcile bank accounts and maintain clear financial records.

• Process payroll for both office and field employees, ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws.

• Oversee lien releases, progress billings, and other construction-specific financial documentation.

• Collaborate with project managers to provide accurate financial insights on ongoing projects.

  Requirements

• 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry.

• Strong knowledge of job costing, construction billing (AIA forms), and prevailing wage requirements.

• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage 100 Contractor.

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, etc.).

• High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required.
