Oriental Bank Analyst, Customer Intelligence & Operations (Audit & Improvements) in San Juan, Puerto Rico
The Analyst, Customer Intelligence & Operations (Audit & Improvements) is responsible for providing adequate support to the Credit Servicing Unit in topics related to audit reviews, processes analysis and improvements & monitoring of regulatory changes. Also responsible of the investors' quality control files requests and contributes to the review and/or creation of Operational Notices and Procedures Manuals. Position works hybrid and is based in San Juan, PR.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the investors' and guarantors' service portals to manage all requests of mortgage files for review, exceptions and /or documents requests.
Manage Limited Denials of Participation (LDP) & Shared Appreciation Mortgage (SAM) reviews semiannually.
Collaborates with audits and reviews including data gathering, validation, responses and action plans.
Assists in establishing procedures with clear definitions, adequate controls and proper monitoring to comply with Regulatory and Bank procedures.
Participates in special projects or implementations ensuring that changes or new procedures are properly executed to reduce inherent risks and prevent lack of controls.
Montors the action plans implemented to ensure they are working properly and that no additional modifications or enhancements are needed to close and prevent recurrence of audit issues.
Other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree in business administration or related field required.
Two (2) years of experience in the banking industry (branch, mortgage, retail divisions) related or similar work required.
Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
Basic knowledge of products related to auto, consumer and mortgage banking preferred.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and deal with the workload to meet deadlines.
Excellent analytical skills to determine critical issues and areas in need of improvement and the ability to find creative solutions while considering all aspects, departments and individuals affected.
Superior communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to communicate across a broad base of internal & external stakeholders.
Excellent communications skills both written and verbal, in both English and Spanish required.
