Your Impact
Aa a Sr. Software Engineer on this team, you will work in the alongside some of the brightest mind in the industry. Typical responsibilities include:
Deliver security network solutions on appliance-based platforms with data processing units (DPUs) and network processing units (NPUs) through writing high-quality, production ready code.
Review existing technologies, identify areas to leverage and drive improvement, and create groundbreaking new technology from scratch.
Serve as an authority and inspiring leader both inside and outside Cisco for networking and security technologies, driving the next evolution of security for our company.
We need an innovative software engineer interested in influencing the opinions and decision-making of senior leaders and/or major customers on matters of significance to the organization. Our Ideal Candidate is someone comfortable in design discussions with other architects and engineers, who can design and implement solutions independently without supervision, negotiate technical choices with teams across organizations, and prototype rapidly & iteratively. In this role, creativity is key- we want someone who will use innovative solutions, technologies, and tools to drive groundbreaking new functionality.
Minimum Requirements for This Role:
BA/BS Degree and 7+ years of programming experience with C, C++, GoLang or similar languages.
7+ years development experience in the networking domain
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Extensive development with a modern network stack on protocols involving L3 & L4, VLANs, VRFs, etc.
Experience developing features associated with networking/ appliance-based platforms
Working as part of a remote or distributed team
Full stack development experience in Linux environments
