The Team and Role:
The Logitech for Business Mechanical Engineering team focuses on the design and development of an ecosystem of products that drive connection, communication, and creativity wherever people get business done.
The Mechanical Engineer Intern will be part of a small multi-function engineering team and be responsible under supervision, to finalize the 3D files, prepare for and be a contributor in the prototyping, assembly, and testing of prototypes for an audio component of a room system.

Assume responsibility for and keep updated the prototype’s 3D files (Creo).
Prepare files for prototyping and make it happen.
Critically review the mechanical parts at each stage, participate in the design reviews, and always ask questions.
Manage the project’s mechanical Bill of Materials and list of parts to be purchased for the prototyping.
Lead the assembly of the prototypes.
Debug issues as or if they arise and document the problem definition, probable root cause, solution brainstorming, and solution selection.
Lead the testing of the prototypes.
Work with other engineers to develop the test plan. The final report should include a comparative analysis against our current offerings and even competitive products.
Be expected to be working hybrid with at least one day a week in our San Jose, CA office
Key Qualifications:
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:
Experience with one or more 3D CAD software tools (Creo is preferred)
Familiarity with 3D rapid prototyping technologies
Deftness in data and statistical analysis in creating the failure analysis, test, and competitive comparison reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with common lab test equipment
Familiarity with audio engineering basics
Enthusiasm and experience of personally building and troubleshooting your design
Education expectation: Enrolled as a senior or graduate student in Mechanical Engineering

This position offers an hourly rate typically between $ 35.00 hourly - $ 45.00 hourly commensurate to the level of degree program in which an applicant is actively enrolled. Logitech offers interns benefits of Paid Holidays, and access to Employee Product Discounts.
