Role & Responsibilities
In this highly dynamic role as a Safety Compliance Engineer, you will:
Be self motivated and work with minimal direction
Design for Safety and conduct product testing to 60950-1 and 62368-1 for Regulatory certification
Perform PCB design layout and stack-up reviews
Perform Schematic reviews
Perform Product construction reviews
Develop Safety compliance program plans, budgets and schedules
Conduct or direct the internal investigation of Safety compliance issues
Assess product, Safety compliance or operational risks and propose mitigation plans
Participate in audits to ensure adherence to environmental standards
Attend project team meetings and provide status and test schedule updates
Communicate issues to product development team and drive issues to resolution
File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies (UL/CSA)
Maintain documentation of compliance activities, escalations and investigation of outcomes
Prepare management reports regarding compliance operations and progress
Review and provide oversight for JDM/ODM compliance test and deliverables
Keep informed of industry changes, trends and assess impact on product shipments
Minimum Qualifications
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 3-5 years of related experience
Knowledge and expertise in industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements (EMC, Safety, Telecom, NEBS etc)
*strong program management skills, proficient with Excel and Powerpoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, meeting facilitation, presentation and decision making
Ability to work well in a team environment
Knowledge of PCB design / layout / stack-up
Desired Skills
Detail oriented with good organizational and relationship skills
Good understanding of networking products
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast paced environment
Hands on experience working in a lab environment / electrical testing
