Description We are offering an opportunity in the Non-Profit industry located in San Jose, California. The role is for an Accountant who will be engaged in various accounting functions. The workplace environment is dynamic and the employment opportunity is based on a contract.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in month-end and quarter-end close processes

• Prepare and record journal entries as part of accounting functions

• Carry out account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

• Contribute to a special project that involves a lot of recoding, handling high volume data

• Utilize Microsoft Excel extensively for various accounting tasks

• Apply basic accounting knowledge and intermediate to advanced level Excel skills in daily tasks

• Gain experience with Blackbaud/Financial Edge for various accounting functions

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) as part of the role

• Maintain the General Ledger accurately and efficiently

• Contribute to the team with your skills in preparing journal entries. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting functions is essential for the role.

• Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Familiarity with General Ledger management is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary for data management and analysis.

• Ability to create and manage journal entries is required.

• Experience in a non-profit environment is preferred but not necessary.

• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

• Must hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.

• A CPA certification would be considered an advantage.

• Demonstrated ability to adhere to strict deadlines and work under pressure.

• Experience with accounting software and digital tools is preferred.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary.

• The ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate high ethical standards.
