What You Will Do
Work in a Design environment where you challenge the norms and paradigms of user experience.
Leverage data to identify and confirm bottlenecks in large-scale design and development workflows.
Use engineering build tools, monorepo, and IDE to reproduce and debug UI janks in order to formulate cross functional solutions.
Prototype difficult-to-visualize concepts to justify design and technical decisions.
Learn new skills and emerging technologies (AI, VR, Unity, etc.) to explore engineering feasibility.
Connect people to ideas in a way that generates excitement.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience working on public-facing consumer products
Strong development skills using JavaScript, Compose, or SwiftUI.
Experience using data to form and validate strategic hypotheses.
Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent practical experience
Capable of production-level engineering in one's own area of technical focus.
Understand the product release cycle, making necessary tradeoffs and prioritization decisions to ship.
Experience working with teams of engineers and QAs.
Experience designing tools and solutions such as Figma Plugins, assets management, etc.
Experience conducting or participating in user studies.
Has at least one developed design proficiency, such as interaction, motion, visual or UX design.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$171,000 per year - USD$190,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
