Robert Half is recruiting a Jr. Associate for a premier real estate litigation boutique law firm in downtown San Francisco (some telecommute OK). The Associate is responsible for managing the discovery process and preparing for hearings in unlawful detainer actions. The associates work closely with the partners at the firm and feel empowered to do their very best work for their diverse, multilingual clientele.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research, respond to discovery, and draft legal documents and pleadings, including motions to compel, ex parte motions, demurrers, motions to quash, and motions to strike;

• Prepare for and conduct depositions, and argue in pre-trial hearings;

• Meet with clients at intake, maintain regular contact and send correspondence, gather information and documents required for discovery, etc.

Qualifications:

• Active and in good standing in State Bar of California;

• 1 – 3+ years of litigation practice;

• Landlord/tenant law practice is a plus, but not required;

• Good case management and discovery experience; and

• Strong interpersonal skills and professional communication abilities via telephone and email.

Our client offers a beautiful and collegial office space, values work-life balance, and fosters a culture of professional growth. Billable requirement is ONLY 1,500 hrs/yr. The base salary range is $90,000 – 120,000/yr, DOE, and this position is bonus eligible and gets employment benefits, incl. 401(k) Plan and paid leave.
