Insight Global Data Engineer in San Francisco, California

Job Description

The Data Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining high quality data pipelines that drive analytic solutions. They must have a deep understanding of data architecture, data engineering, data analysis, reporting, and a basic understanding of data science techniques and

workflows.

Responsibilities include:

   Design, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data architecture and pipelines that adhere to ETL principles and business goals

   Solve complex data problems to deliver insights that help the organization's business to achieve their goals

   Create data products for analytics and data scientist team members to improve their productivity

   Advise, consult, mentor and coach other data and analytic professionals on data standards and practices

   Foster a culture of sharing, re-use, design for scale stability, and operational efficiency of data and analytical solutions

   Partner with business analysts and solutions architects to develop technical architectures for strategic projects and initiatives

Skills and Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience working with database programming, specifically large scale data.

      * Experience in developing and maintaining data warehouses in big data solutions using Databricks.

      * Expertise in SQL and data analysis

      * Experience with at least one programming language such as Python or Scala.

      * Experience in developing solutions on cloud-based services and infrastructure in the data analytics space.

      * Experience working on a collaborative product team in an Agile environment

      * Excellent communication and listening skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. -Degree in Mathematics
