Robert Half Accounting Clerk in San Francisco, California

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Clerk to join our team located in San Francisco, California. The selected candidate will be a part of our accounting team, focusing on processing transactions, maintaining financial records, assisting with payroll, and preparing reports among other tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate processing and recording of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

• Assisting in reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.

• Ensuring proper maintenance and organization of financial records, invoices, receipts, and other documentation.

• Supporting payroll processing by collecting and verifying timesheets and other related documents.

• Assisting with month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Generating routine financial reports and summaries for management review.

• Entering financial data into accounting software with a high degree of accuracy.

• Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.

• Addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to billing, payments, and other accounting matters.

• Performing general administrative tasks as needed to support the accounting department.

• SAP Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience with Billing and Invoice Processing.

• Strong data entry skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and analysis.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• High level of accuracy and efficiency in work.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge as required by the role.
