Research Education and Training Administrative Coordinator
Location: San Diego, CA.
The USC Keck School of Medicine - Alzheimer’s Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI), located in San Diego, California is an academic institute comprised of scientific collaborators committed to advancing the development of new treatments for Alzheimer’s disease through innovative clinical trials.
This Research Education and Training Administrative Coordinator position is based in the ATRI Section of Biostatistics under the direction of Prof. Raman. This position will report to Dr. Raman and support the administrative and project needs for the Alzheimer’s Clinical Trials Consortium (ACTC) Engagement, Education, Access and Accountability (E2A2). The Unit is led by Dr. Raman and is dedicated to supporting the training and developing the clinical trials workforce and leadership within ACTC.
The Coordinator will support, facilitate, and coordinate all Unit initiatives and projects. They will provide administrative project management to faculty across multiple projects. They will organize teleconferences, meetings, and training sessions, and prepares meeting minutes. They will communicate and interface directly with initiative leads and committees and oversee timelines and milestones to ensure that targeted deadlines are met.
Job requirements
Experience working within a research or academic environment.
Experience communicating and working with cross-functional teams and academic professionals
Ability to recognize the most effective operational methods and align with the project’s functional and structural needs to ensure project success.
Excellent management and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience coordinating, tracking, and documenting activities, as well as reporting on their outcomes.
Experience with REDCap and/or other relational databases.
The hourly rate range for this position is $29.19 – $37.25.
