Serco Experienced Project Control Specialist - San Diego, CA in San Diego, California

Position Description

Serco is seeking a Project Control Specialist to lead various projects supporting US Naval and Military contracts and bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors.

The Experienced Project Control Specialist will assist Program Managers by analyzing and coordinating a variety of different services such as client programs, work force management demands, technical specification development, budget preparation and control, equipment utilization, records control, and special management studies.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain methods for configuration management of C5ISR system alterations

  • Estimate contract change orders

  • Measure and manage material, labor, and tooling demand.

  • Develop detailed planning of technical requirements from approved NAVSEA drawings.

  • Conduct cost management through continual cost control and review

  • Provide planning and technical oversight of US Naval Activities in the maintenance and installation of Shipboard systems

  • Provide expert solutions and recommendations to customers to ensure resolution of issues

  • Other duties and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

  • US Citizenship

  • Ability to obtain a DBIDS and successfully undergo a Background Investigation, Drug Screen, and obtain access to Naval Bases and other ship repair facilities.

  • A Bachelor’s degree or a High School Diploma and 4 additional years of experience (Shipboard experience managing Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical System Alterations and upgrades highly preferred)

  • 6 years of experience (Shipboard experience managing Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical System Alterations and upgrades highly preferred)

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of work project(s) and functions.

  • Familiarity with NAVSEA, standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of electrical repair, fabrication, and installation.

  • Advanced knowledge of NAVSEA drawings and specifications.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Tools

  • The willingness to work second shifts as needed and more than 40 hours work weeks.

  • The ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $68,974.77to $112,085.42; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
