*This is a full time position with day shifts, Monday through Friday, on-site on the campus of Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, with flexibility to float to our various clinic locations. *

We invite you to join our highly dynamic team as a Diabetes Educator II. This position helps cover ambulatory diabetes education needs throughout our Scripps Health organization across San Diego county and will conduct one-on-one patient visits (in-person and virtual) as well as group nutrition counseling classes.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
A minimum of two years providing diabetes education as an RN or RD required.

Required Certification/Registration:
- Current BLS
- Certified Diabetes Educator certification (CDCES) required.
- Licensed to practice in the State of California as an RN or Registered Dietitian credential by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) **
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- For RNs, a bachelors Degree in Nursing is preferred
