Description
Robert Half is working with a well-regarded client in San Diego, CA, who is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team. The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for assisting customers with inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction. This role requires excellent communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You'll be the first point of contact for customers and play a critical role in maintaining the company's reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat in a timely and professional manner.
Resolve customer concerns by accurately identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, services, and policies to assist customers effectively.
Document customer interactions and track issues to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) such as response time, resolution rate, and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with other departments to address complex customer needs and improve processes.
Provide proactive recommendations or upsell/cross-sell opportunities when appropriate, while maintaining a customer-first focus.
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
1–3 years of experience in customer service or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience with call center or help desk support.
Familiarity with customer service principles and best practices.
Experience working in industries that require high-volume customer interaction (e.g., retail, hospitality, or financial services).
