Description A Management Resources client is in immediate need of an accounting manager level consultant for up to 6 months. This remote position requires local residency in San Diego, CA, as occasional in-person meetings may be necessary. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, financial statement preparation, and month-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist and manage month-end close activities.

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements.

Create and maintain a detailed month-end close checklist.

Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet and profit & loss (P& L) reconciliations.

Handle accruals and ensure they are accurately recorded.

Prepare and post journal entries.

Conduct flux analysis to identify and explain variances.

Reconcile accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) records.

Manage and record depreciation schedules.
