Position Summary
This is a position on the enterprise DevSecOps platform team, as a part of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure organization. The successful candidate must be knowledgeable in DevSecOps practices and tooling, ensuring that they are able to design and deliver successful DevSecOps capabilities with the rest of the DevSecOps team. The candidate will serve as the Solution Architect for DevSecOps, as well as act as the team’s Product Owner to plan, prioritize, and execute on a tactical product roadmap. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the team on day-to-day execution in standard agile practices and initiatives, providing direction and validation on story planning and story acceptance, as well as hands-on assistance towards delivered features and value against our defined business objectives and key results (OKRs). The candidate will also be expected to evangelize DevSecOps capabilities and maturity, collaborating with the DevSecOps Practices and other stakeholder communities within MPC.
This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency, and skill level. Actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
Ensures priority alignment between DevSecOps leadership, the DevSecOps practices, and other stakeholders to build and prioritize roadmaps, plan releases, and align team activities with business objectives.
Supports architectural governance and compliance, defining principles, guidelines, and standards for DevSecOps. Participates in and contributes to solution architecture and/or application security reviews to ensure architecture adherence and effective adoption of DevSecOps products and capabilities.
Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure solution alignment with business objectives and requirements, leading the translation of business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints while working with product owners and managers to ensure interconnectivity and compliance.
Evaluates and recommends appropriate technologies, frameworks, and platforms to support DevSecOps capabilities, actively analyzing technology trends, impacts, and vendor assessments, while providing metrics and status updates to understand the current adoption and health of team initiatives and the overall DevSecOps practice.
Leads the design and development of end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements, analyzing and translating business and technical requirements into solution designs and a tactical team product backlog.
Provides guidance and support to software engineering teams during solution design and implementation, collaborating with software engineering and operations teams to provide training and awareness of effective DevSecOps practices and tooling.
Participates in select stories, helping the team to execute valuable initiatives to improve DevSecOps capabilities and automation.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology preferred, related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of relevant architecture experience required
Software Engineering and/or DevSecOps experience required
Experience with relevant Microsoft ecosystem DevOps and development tooling highly preferred
Familiar with Agile SAFe® and Product Owner responsibilities preferred

It often employs workflow management tools, automation software, and integration platforms to facilitate communication, data exchange, and decision-making among different components of the process. The goal of process orchestration is to optimize the flow of work, minimize delays and bottlenecks, and enhance overall productivity and performance.
Solution Architecture - Solution architecture is the process of designing and describing the structure and behavior of a comprehensive solution to meet specific business needs. It involves integrating various components, technologies, and processes to create a coherent and efficient system that addresses the identified challenges or requirements.
Strategic Outlook - Examines issues, generates ideas, creates future scenarios and develops plans with a long-term perspective. Ensures short-term goals support long-term strategy and that organizational/functional strategy aligns with and supports MPC’s overall business strategy.
