Wells Fargo Lead Rail Sales Representative in SAN ANTONIO, Texas

About this role:

Wells Fargo Rail is seeking a Lead Rail Sales Representative for Houston, Texas to execute our commercial strategy, develop and build lasting customer relationships and deliver on financial goals.

This position is responsible for the management and development of a portfolio of customers and their associated rail car leases. Key success criteria will be:

  • Providing the highest level of customer service throughout the leasing cycle

  • Effectively executing Wells Fargo Rail’s commercial strategy

  • Developing strategic relationships

  • Generating new investment opportunities

  • Actively seeking and sharing market information, developing an understanding of industry trends, and formulating objective inputs to investment and divestiture plans

  • The ability to work with and influence at all levels of an organization (internally and externally)

In this role, you will:

  • Be the commercial lead and primary relationship manager for a commercial territory

  • Lead a cross functional team within Wells Fargo Rail to provide best-in-class customer service and support

  • Capture market data, identify industry trends, produce detailed call reports, and make recommendations that will directly impact business strategy and investment decisions

  • Build and expand relationships at multiple levels of our customer’s organization, facilitating comprehensive account planning and the development of a commercial pipeline that supports our customer’s needs and the continued growth and development of the Wells Fargo Rail portfolio

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Railcar Sales, Leasing, Finance, Credit, or other related experience demonstrated through one, or a combination of the following: commercial or marketing experience with a Railroad, work experience, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the rail industry: experience with a Class I Railroad, rail car leasing company, or rail car builder; a comprehensive understanding of rail cars and the markets/commodities they serve; an understanding of rail car leases and industry practice.

  • Proven experience implementing and executing sales or territory management strategies that deliver financial results and grow strong relationships.

  • Ability to analyze trends and develop corresponding strategies in a diverse and competitive market

  • Strong financial, accounting or data analysis background

  • Strong risk and controls orientation

  • Experience with Salesforce

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 75%

  • Salary ranges for IL are $126,400-$262,600 USD Annually

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

$120,400.00 - $262,600.00
