Job Title: Fuel Cell Mechanic
Job Description
Perform assembly and disassembly operations on aircraft fuel systems and equipment in accordance with DOD, manufacturer, company, supplier, and other directives. Perform operational checks of aircraft fuel systems and components with or without production aids. Assemble and test articles for use in system testing, development, and modification of aircraft.

Conduct operational checks of aircraft fuel systems and components.
Assemble and test articles for system testing, development, and modification of aircraft.
Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, and test procedures.
Set up and use a variety of precision measuring instruments such as torque wrenches, gauges, and measuring devices.
Work with hand and pneumatic tools.
Operate various ground support equipment such as hydraulic test carts, nitrogen/oxygen carts, tow tractors, and hangar deck cranes.
Fuel/defuel, pencil drain, and leak check fuel systems.
Work in confined spaces as required.
Remove and install equipment and components according to blueprints with firm callouts, butt, center, chord, station, and water lines.
Identify different types of corrosion, clean, and treat corrosion.
Effectively communicate orally and in writing with other employees, supervision, and others as required in their duties.
Clearly document maintenance and repair actions, equipment status tags, logs, and parts requests.
Perform assigned duties while wearing required safety equipment.
Perform assigned duties on all shifts without encumbrances due to weather or physical location and conditions.
Order parts, pan stock, tools, materials, and equipment as required while performing assigned duties.
Comply with all rules and regulations concerning health and safety, tool control, contracts, and facilities.
Essential Skills
2 to 4 years of experience in aircraft fuel systems and components overhaul.
Knowledge of shop mathematics, assembly methods, and shop practices.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, and technical manuals.
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and hand and pneumatic tools.
Experience operating ground support equipment.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to identify and treat different types of corrosion.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Experience documenting maintenance and repair actions.
Ability to perform duties while wearing required safety equipment.
Willingness to work any shift and comply with health and safety regulations.

Work Environment
1st Shift: M-F 5:30am-2:30pm (OT optional). 2nd Shift: M-F 2pm-10:30pm (OT optional). Must be open to work any shift. Work in an open-bay, non-climate-controlled environment. Employees can expense $100 per year for steel-toed shoes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
