PeopleReady 3D Printer Operator in San Antonio, Texas

We are seeking an experienced 3D printing pilot to operate our state-of-the-art concrete 3D printer for the construction of innovative, sustainable homes. As the 3D Printing Pilot, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire 3D printing process, from program setup to final product output.

Note: The pay rate for this job is $19 - $25 / hour

Responsibilities:

  • Program and operate the large-scale 3D concrete printer to precisely build the structural elements and walls of residential homes.

  • Monitor the 3D printing process closely, making adjustments to printing parameters as needed to ensure optimal quality and efficiency.

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on the 3D printer and associated equipment to maintain optimal performance.

  • Collaborate with the engineering and construction teams to understand project requirements and ensure the 3D printed elements meet all specifications.

  • Document the 3D printing process, including recording data, maintaining logs, and reporting on production progress.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations to enhance the 3D printing workflow.

  • Assist in the training and supervision of other 3D printing operators.

  • Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations during 3D printing operations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating large-scale 3D printers, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry. 

  • Strong understanding of 3D printing techniques, materials, and equipment. 

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to quickly identify and resolve printing issues. 

  • Proficient in programming and operating 3D printing software and related technologies. 

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. 

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety. 

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 

  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
