Job Description:
We are looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Prep Cook at Diegos Burritos, youll play a key role in preparing fresh ingredients and ensuring our dishes are made to perfection. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and chop ingredients for various dishes, including meats, vegetables, and toppings for burritos, tacos, and sides.
- Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality of food.
- Organize and maintain the kitchen, ensuring all prep stations are stocked and clean.
- Assist with food prep duties like marinating, sauting, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist the kitchen team during busy hours to ensure a smooth operation.
- Properly store and rotate ingredients to reduce waste and maintain freshness.
- Help with inventory checks and ordering supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred, but not required.
- A passion for food and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
