Job Summary
Join the Auxiliary Business Development ( ABD ) team at the University of Utah as a Sponsorship Ambassador. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting and staffing various sponsored events and campus partner activities. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in event planning, marketing, and asset management while contributing to the vibrant campus community.
Responsibilities
Support and staff ABD and partner events, which encompass a wide range from marketing opportunities with campus partners to tailgates. Responsibilities include assisting in event planning and execution, engaging positively with attendees, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of event spaces and assets.
Assist with weekly office tasks across various departments to ensure organizational efficiency and task completion within designated weekly hours. Possibility of increased hours and or responsibilities based on interest and drive.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a current University of Utah student.
A valid driver’s license is required to drive fleet vehicles and golf carts.
Ability to work in a team environment and follow direction clearly.
Capable of distributing samples, food, and drinks at events; ABD will cover the cost of obtaining a food handler’s card if not already possessed.
Able to lift heavy objects, such as inflatables, coolers, tables, and other event items.
Comfortable interacting with event attendees.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Must be punctual and possess strong communication skills.
Flexible work schedule required for events, including evenings and weekends.
Preferences
Previous experience and/or education and training in events, marketing, or similar.
Experience in working in a team setting.
Computer proficiency and ability/willingness to learn new programs and software.
Must be enrolled student progressing satisfactorily towards a degree.
Previous experience in food service or retail is ideal
Timeline:
