ARUP LABORATORIES Medical Laboratory Scientist I - NYQ (PERM) in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah
ARUP Laboratories in Salt Lake City, Utah is hiring for full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist I - NYQ - 1 opening. Duties: In the Automated Core laboratory, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Specialist I, NYQ will oversee operation, quality control, and maintenance of Roche Cobas, Beckman Coulter DXI, Beckman Coulter AU5800, and Ortho ECI instrumentation. Validation and final verification of patient results specific to these platforms including evaluation of drugs of abuse testing, cancer antigen testing, androgen testing, and a test menu of approximately 150 tests and test combinations. Ensure testing criteria is met by other laboratory personnel; troubleshoot issues; address supply chain issues; review pending logs, daily activity reports; investigate sample issues; addressing client complaints/concerns, assist staff with employee competencies; review/investigate any procedures/reporting that is not consistent with current SOPs. Requires Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or in the chemical or biological sciences; and ASCP or AAB certification as MLS or MT.
