Job Schedule: 9/80, every other Friday off

Essential Functions:

  • Leads, directs, and reviews the work and performance of the members of the PCB Library team.

  • Supervises the creation and maintenance of schematic symbols, solder pad footprints, and three dimension versions of electrical components for Electrical CAD (ECAD) and mechanical CAD (MCAD) libraries.

  • Assigns and prioritizes new part requests to Library team

  • Communicates with others outside the team to provide status of part requests, explain and gain cooperation on team processes and practices.

  • Supervises and provides training to new librarians

  • Ensures all software tools used by the team are maintained and functioning correctly

  • Researches and investigates new tools to increase team’s productivity

  • Leads and encourages innovation and process improvement activities within the team

  • Ensure that all component vendor specifications, IPC standards, and requirements for manufacturing and assembly are met.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 6 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical knowledge in leading and/or managing projects, processes, and employees.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in PCB libraries, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in PCB libraries is required. An Associates Degree or certificate in Graphics Technology or Engineering Technology is desirable.

  • Competent skills and experience with ECAD software applications and related equipment. Specific experience with Mentor Xpedition® and Siemens NX software is desirable.

  • Competent knowledge and experience of electrical components, component vendor data sheets, and electrical schematics is desirable.

  • General knowledge of industry standards such as IPC for design and ASME/ANSI for documentation is desired.
