University of Utah Associate Development Director in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah
The College of Science at the University of Utah seeks a frontline major gift fundraiser with excellent communication and relationship building skills to join an impact driven, collaborative team of fundraising and alumni relations professionals to advance the mission of the College of Science. This team serves the departments of Atmospheric Sciences, Chemistry, Geology & Geophysics, Mathematics, Materials Science & Engineering, Mining Engineering, Physics & Astronomy and the School of Biological Sciences. This position will report to the Director of Development, College of Science.The Associate Development Director will primarily be responsible for qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift prospects capable of making gifts of $25,000 or more. The position will manage a dynamic portfolio of donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations, to build long-term relationships and connect donor philanthropic interests with priority needs of the College of Science.This position will actively participate in development activities for the College including, but not limited to prospect research; developing proposals and appeals; cultivating alumni, donors and/or prospective donors; soliciting gifts; ensuring appropriate stewardship and supporting local and regional College/University of Utah events.
