State of Massachusetts Assistant Director of Visitor Services in Salem, Massachusetts

Overview: The Assistant Director of Visitor Services plays a key role in shaping the first impression of prospective students and their families by overseeing the management of campus visits and events within the admissions office. This position involves leadership, coordination, and collaboration to ensure an exceptional and informative experience for all visitors. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for creating a positive and welcoming environment for prospective students and their families. The Assistant Director of Visitor Services will contribute significantly to the college's overall recruitment efforts and help shape a positive perception of the institution. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree * 3-5 years of experience in higher education, preferably in admissions * Must possess a valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications: * Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Higher Education Administration, or a related discipline * Experience with Salesforce CRM * Exceptional organizational and communication skills * Ability to speak another language, preferably Spanish Working Conditions: This is an on-site position with on-campus, in-person responsibilities in Salem, MA which requires consistent on-campus availability, including some nights and weekends during peak periods. Office activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and interaction with computer equipment; occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 5-10 pounds.
