Description

We are offering a role in the manufacturing industry located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. The role is a Supply Chain Assistant, which involves receiving, processing, and ensuring successful order fulfillment on a day to day basis. The workplace is dynamic and fast-paced, and the role offers a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the order fulfillment process internally and externally to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Timely and successful order entry and follow up for customer orders consistent with company document control procedures.

• Oversee the internal communication process to ensure timely order fulfillment.

• Maintain up-to-date customer communications and deliver exceptional customer service for day-to-day order processing.

• Act as the primary point of contact for the customer replenishment team and build long-term relationships with customers.

• Coordinate the closing of month-end sales with Finance as required.

• Promptly enter all external sales orders in the system with accuracy, following all company document control procedures.

• Post daily sales orders, investigate for shortages/overages, document and communicate as appropriate with all internal and external stakeholders.

• Partner with cross-functional work groups as necessary to resolve customer order related issues and meet customers’ expectations on order fulfillment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must

• Strong understanding of buying processes and purchase orders

• Experience in handling purchase requests is required

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) processes is desirable

• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• High school diploma or equivalent education level is required

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

• Must have legal authorization to work in the country.
