Actalent Structural Designer in SAINT PAUL, Minnesota

Job Title: Structural DesignerJob Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in structural engineering and design, and will play a key role in mentoring entry-level staff. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and provides room for growth into project management roles. The candidate will assist in alleviating workload from engineers and take charge of the design and modeling aspects of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design and model structural projects using Revit and other relevant software.

  • Mentor and guide entry-level staff.

  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers on various projects.

  • Ensure project deadlines and schedules are met.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients.

  • Attend site visits and construction meetings as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Revit and structural design.

  • 3+ years of industry experience in structural engineering.

  • Strong background in structural analysis and drafting.

  • Ability to manage and mentor junior staff.

  • Experience with BIM360 or high proficiency in Revit.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate degree in architecture with an interest in structural design.

  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing project requirements.

  • Excellent communication skills.

Work Environment

The position is based in St. Paul/Minneapolis, in an office that has been recently remodeled and is conveniently located near public transportation and the light rail. The work environment is team-oriented, requiring strong communication skills to manage multiple projects and schedules. The dress code is business professional/business casual. Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with some flexibility on start times after training, provided communication with project managers is maintained.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
