LFCS is looking for dedicated and compassionate Therapists to join our team and provide high-quality, life-changing counseling services. This role offers a dynamic blend of both office-based and school-based opportunities, allowing you to directly support those in need while fostering positive mental health within the community. These positions are available in St. Louis, Franklin and St. Charles counties and require 2 evenings in the office.
As a Therapist, you'll deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, offer valuable case coordination, provide psychoeducation, and be an essential part of crisis intervention efforts. Youll also have the chance to facilitate classroom-based prevention programs that help children and families thrive. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Transformative Therapy:
Provide individual and family therapy to children and families in both office and school settings, utilizing evidence base therapeutic techniques.
Collaborate for Success:
Coordinate care by working alongside parents/guardians, schools, psychiatrists, and other service providers to ensure clients receive comprehensive, holistic support.
Promote Mental Wellness:
Offer psychoeducation, prevention programming and advocacy to empower children and families with the tools they need to build resilience, manage stress, and thrive mentally and emotionally.
Respond in Critical Moments:
Assess and provide crisis intervention during high-stress situations, ensuring clients safety with effective risk assessments and safety planning.
Maintain Trust and Integrity:
Uphold confidentiality and adhere to the highest ethical standards in all client interactions, fostering trust and respect in every session.
Document with Precision:
Ensure timely and accurate completion of all necessary documentation, including intake forms, assessments, treatment plans, and safety plans, in line with program guidelines.
Engage with the Community:
Work collaboratively with schools, medical providers, and other community partners to support client needs, and actively contribute to the development of impactful programs.
- Continual Growth: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay on top of the latest therapeutic practices, ensuring youre always equipped to offer the best care possible.
Qualifications:
Education:
A Masters degree in a mental health-related.
Provisional Therapists:
Must have an MSW and pass the LMSW exam, obtaining board approval for the LMSW license within 90 days of employment, or be provisionally licensed and actively working toward licensure as a professional counselor, clinical social worker, or marriage and family therapist in the State of Missouri.
Licensed Therapists:
Must be licensed in Missouri as a Professional Counselor (LPC), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
