AgroLiquid Senior Employee Development Specialist in Saint Johns, Michigan

Do you value your work environment and company culture?  We're seeking an HR teammate who brings development planning and recruiting management experience to our team.  This person will focus on activities surrounding succession planning, employee career planning, and skills development to lead our employee experience initiatives with a synergistic connection to recruiting. This role involves implementing talent management strategies, policies, processes and activities that drive the achievement of strategic objectives and maximize employee potential across the company.

 

With a focus on these 3 key areas, the Senior Employee Development Specialist will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our employees and the company workforce:

  • Career Pathing & Development Planning (50%)
    • Implement and manage competency-based job descriptions and processes that measure outcomes, identify areas of skill gaps, and align teams to organizational goals.
    • Collaborate with managers, employees, and leadership to identify skill gaps and build develop opportunity plans for employee success.
    • Facilitate all aspects of the company growth programs:  Tuition, Specialty Certificate, Leadership and skills training.
    • Lead career pathing planning:  Work with managers and directors to identify future leaders and create employee career pathing plans to achieve performance and growth for success.
    • Coordinate, monitor, track career succession /successor opportunities in alignment with career pathing plans.
  • Managing Talent Recruitment (30%)
    • Lead recruiting staff growth:  Mentor, coach & develop recruiting specialist staff.
    • Create synergy between recruiting and development work.
    • Collaboratively develop and manage acquisition strategies focused on activities surrounding networking, pipeline building, budget management and connection with succession planning and employee career planning.
  • Coordination & Facilitation of Organizational Training (20%)

    • Manage training resources (external and LMS) and facilitate enrollment and tracking of skills-based training.
    • Conduct assessment activities to evaluate and identify the current and emerging skills, competencies, and behaviors required to achieve desired organizational results and prepare for future needs.
    • Plan, organize, and facilitate legally required training company-wide to ensure compliance.
    • Research, application & management for outside funded training opportunities.

       

What We're Looking For:

  • Must have previous organizational and talent development experience with responsibilities focused on organizing training, succession and career planning strategies or processes
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline and 5+ years related experience preferred
  • Successful Experience Supervising Talent Recruitment
  • High energy, enthusiastic, motivational engagement style
  • Strong organizational, planning, project management, and problem-resolution skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and influencing skills required
  • Excellent creative, conceptual and analytical thinking abilities
  • Available and able to travel occasionally (
