Job Title: Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our 2nd shift to maintain and troubleshoot plastic injection molding machinery and assembly equipment. The majority of the work will involve mechanical repairs on plastic molding equipment. The Maintenance Technician will also read schematics and hydraulic blueprints, troubleshoot electrical systems up to 240V, and assist with Mold Setting and Die Setting as needed.
Responsibilities
Maintain and troubleshoot plastic injection molding machinery and assembly equipment.
Perform mechanical repairs on plastic molding equipment.
Read and interpret schematics and hydraulic blueprints.
Troubleshoot electrical systems up to 240V.
Assist with Mold Setting and Die Setting during emergencies on the 2nd shift.
Essential Skills
6+ years of experience in automotive maintenance, specifically with plastic injection molding machinery.
Ability to troubleshoot assembly equipment.
Mechanical ability to work with conveyors, sensors, and motor swaps.
Proficiency in reading and troubleshooting hydraulic systems and schematic prints.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures.
Process tech troubleshooting skills to adjust machinery for correct part output.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in electrical troubleshooting, including rebuilding wires/cables, working with electrical circuits, and handling 3-phase motors up to 240V.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Welding and fabrication skills.
PLC troubleshooting experience.
Understanding of preventive maintenance processes.
Experience and understanding of Die Setting.

Work Environment
The work environment includes two well-lit and clean buildings with new, more automated machinery. The 2nd shift hours are from 2:30pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays and double time on Sundays. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular rate after 40 hours. Training will be conducted on the 1st shift for 4-8 weeks from 8am to 4pm.

This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Clair, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
