Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Utilize specialized skill sets to support the maintenance and optimal operating condition of a variety of equipment using company-approved food safety practices and policies. Decrease equipment downtime utilizing training and skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective maintenance and emergency maintenance on food packaging/processing equipment and facility equipment to maximize equipment up-time.

• Complete assigned scheduled preventative maintenance and work orders to increase asset life.

• Document daily activities and work performed, including equipment repairs from breakdowns, work orders, or scheduled preventative maintenance. Assist in maintaining maintenance departmental records.

• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced equipment mechanical/electrical issues within specialized skill sets.

• Repair and/or rebuild pumps, mills, gearboxes, and other miscellaneous mechanical entities.

• Assist other maintenance mechanics in troubleshooting advanced equipment problems using specialized skill sets. Train other maintenance mechanics with up-to-date information to increase skill levels within the department. Effectively document training sessions.

• Promote, adhere to, and be responsible for Food Safety and Quality.

• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience

• Experience in mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills and/or specialized training

• Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

• Ability to perform multiple tasks to accomplish objectives

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

• Ability to interpret a variety of technical information in mathematical and/or narrative form and deal with abstract and concrete variables

• Bi-Lingual preferred but not required

Work Environment

The work environment is within the food and beverage industry, adhering to GMP standards. Conditions can be cold and hot depending on the area, with wet and humid conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Saginaw, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $83200.00/yr.
