Caregiver for 1-on-1 Outings and Activities in the Community

PLEASE NOTE : Position requires Valid CA driver’s license in good standing and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance

    In this specific position you'll provide support and companionship one-on-one with an adult who has an intellectual or developmental disability out in the community doing activities like: outings/field trips, activities and events, shopping and eating out, developmental goal-based activities.

  • Competitive Pay: Hourly rate of $16.30 and full benefits package for employees working 30+ hours/week; all staff get mileage reimbursement at 62.5 cents per mile... it adds up = more money in your pocket!

  • Schedule: We have both part-time and full-time positions available; Schedules are pretty flexible and most shifts are in the late afternoon/evenings on weekdays and during the day on weekends - weekend availability is required for this position since this is when most of the outings are scheduled

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SEVITA

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED/equivalent

  • Experience: Six months of experience in human services or direct care preferred

  • License and Vehicle: Valid CA driver’s license in good standing and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance - you will use your own vehicle to transport individual on outings

  • Clearances: Must be able to pass criminal and driver history background checks and a physical and TB test

  • Skills: Communication, multi-tasking, adaptability, teamwork, time management

  • Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
