Robert Half Senior Project Accountant in Ruther Glen, Virginia

Description We are seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join our team in Ruther Glen, Virginia. The role involves working in a custom manufacturing environment where you will deal with work orders, inventory, and change management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to conduct manufacturing product cost analysis and implementation, as well as educate and train manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the creation and management of manufacturing work orders.

• Handle inventory management including raw materials, work in progress (WIP), and finished goods.

• Implement and manage change management processes.

• Conduct detailed manufacturing product cost analysis and implement cost-efficient strategies.

• Provide education and training to manufacturing teams, particularly those coming from the construction environment.

• Utilize skills in Global Manufacturing, Construction Projects, Project Budgets, Project Accounting, Project Cost, and Manufacturing Cost Accounting.

• Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and monitor customer accounts for necessary action.

• Resolve customer inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.

• Support other teams and departments as required, ensuring smooth operation of the company's financial activities. Requirements • Must have a strong background in Project Accounting

• Experience in Global Manufacturing is essential

• Should have proficiency in handling Construction Projects

• Proven experience in managing Project Budgets is required

• Knowledge of Project Cost is a must

• Familiarity with Manufacturing Cost Accounting is necessary

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are needed

• Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills

• Should have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Proficiency in using various accounting software is necessary

• Must have the ability to work in a team and independently as required

• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legislation is required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Relevant certifications in Accounting or related field will be an added advantage.
