Job Description

We are looking for a business-oriented financial analyst, with a curious mindset and a passion to develop their career in Pharma. The role will be reporting to the Area Controller and supporting both the Europe Area in consolidation and analysis, as well as Region North cluster. Region North is a diverse group of affiliates including Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands, Scandinavia and Finland.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. RN FP&A lead
  • Prepare and consolidate financials for Region South and Europe Area, which includes financial templates creation, consolidation and preparation of management review packages, working closely with affiliates to understand the business and analyze submissions

  • First point of contact with affiliate (countries) supporting system queries and submissions

  • Prepare and review monthly sales and P&L variance commentary ensuring affiliate timely submissions and commentary accurately reflects business issues and running variance analysis

  • Drive cross-country projects to simplify processes

  • Lead the Region FP&A community

  • Provide ad hoc analysis to support Management team

  1. Medical Finance business partner
  • Key point of contact for the medical team for all finance related matters

  • Participate & present during the monthly medical staff meeting

  • Keep track of the medical budget and liaise with budget holders for follow-ups

  • Contribute & drive projects related to medical (reporting, PSP, etc.) at Europe but also at Global level

  • PLN & LRP finance lead for the medical part. Prepare & attend with the VP the presentations to Leadership.

  1. FP&A support
  • Prepare & consolidate planning & budgeting cycles: build financial templates, consolidate submissions & work closely with affiliates across Europe to understand the business and analyze submissions, etc.

  • Other ad-hoc support

Qualifications

WHO ARE YOU?

You have a B.A. in Business/Finance/Accounting. Masters/MBA is a plus.

You have a minimum 4-5+ years of experience in finance/accounting with evident success.

QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES

  • Strong commercial acumen prior experience working within large commercial organizations in a matrix environment

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders at different levels, and to meet timelines/deadlines of submissions in coordinating with stakeholders

  • Self-motivated with the energy and ability to take the initiative on relevant issues

  • Excellent leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Systems experience is a +: BPC, Power Bi, SAP

  • Excellent level of English (verbal & written)

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience of PowerBI and SAP BPC would also be useful
