What You'll Do
Are you an inspirational and innovative leader who wants to make a difference in how we transform security within the critical infrastructure that run Cisco’s business? As highly visible Director of Attack Surface Management within Cisco’s Information Security organization, you will:
Develop and implement a strategic plan for attack surface management, aligning with organizational security goals.
Lead a team of security experts and collaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate attack surface management practices into business processes.
Oversee the deployment and management of tools and technologies for asset discovery, vulnerability management, threat detection and exposure management.
Ensure continuous monitoring and assessment of the organization's security posture, identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities.
Provide mentorship and support for incident response and remediation efforts.
Stay informed about emerging threats and industry trends to proactively address potential security challenges.
Report on the effectiveness of attack surface management strategies to senior leadership.

You have a clear understanding of high-level business landscape including key strategic priorities and an equal ability to dig into the details and connect them back to the overall strategy and objectives.

You have the ability to define a vision and build and rally a team around a shared vision. You can clearly articulate challenges and present comprehensive, thoughtful solutions at the necessary depth across both technical teams and senior leadership.

You are an outstanding mentor that can not only attract but also develop technical talent and future leaders.
Minimum Requirements
Strong background in cybersecurity with several years of experience in relevant areas such as threat intelligence, vulnerability management, or security operations.
Proficiency in security technologies and tools used for attack surface management, including familiarity with asset discovery tools, vulnerability scanners, penetration testing tools, and other relevant security software.
Understanding of network, application, and cloud security principles
Superb communication skills to effectively convey complex security issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management.

High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision.
High level of personal integrity and maturity to professionally handle confidential matters and show appropriate level of judgment.
