Corewell Health Clinical Dietitian PRN in Royal Oak, Michigan
Job Summary
Participates in the identification of patients at nutrition risk; assesses nutritional status/needs; develops, adapts, and coordinates the nutrition care plan for optimal nutrition management. Educates in and out patients. Participates in hospital and community education programs. Serves as a resource to staff and other health care providers. Performs research. Provides excellent patient and family centered care and service as it relates to Corewell Health standards.
Essential Functions
Plans, implements and adapts nutritional care to meet physician orders, age and disease specific physiologic needs. Monitors and manages nutrition care while promoting cost effective interventions.
Educates and trains hospital staff, students, interns, patients, families and care givers.
Coordinates nutrition therapy with physicians and other health care professionals. Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and care planning sessions.
Performs quality improvement, research and outcome studies. Identifies and communicates opportunities for waste reduction, service improvements and/or revenue enhancement to leadership per established guidelines.
Documents accurately, completely and appropriately in Electronic Health Record.

Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in dietetics or equivalent
CRT-Registered Dietitian (RD) - CDR Commission on Dietetic Registration Upon Hire
