About This Job
Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening for a junior Service Desk Technician. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Resolve technical problems in a call center/help desk environment
Work with internal and external users and organizations to support customer user-level requirements, including resolving end-user support requests, and researching and deploying advanced technologies
Resolve access requests for user accounts and other support functions
Where possible, use automated tools and scripts to improve efficiency and accuracy
Provide technical assistance, training and system documentation for users to promote efficient operation of applications
Perform other duties as assigned

Clearance Requirement
The applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. An active Secret clearance is preferred but not required.
Certification Requirement
If not already DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant, the applicant must receive CompTIA Security or other DoD IAT Level II certification within 6 months of employment.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Education and experience requirements for this position are as follows:
High School Diploma and 4 years of software engineering or similar technical experience, or
BS/BA in Computer Science or Software Engineering and 0 years of experience, or
MS/MA in Computer Science or Software Engineering and 0 years of experience
Required Experience & Skills:
Excellent customer support skills
Experience with Active Directory, desktop support, and ticketing systems
Experience working in a Service Desk/Help Desk team environment

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $50580 - $85950
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
