Your Job Flint Hills Resources Pine Bend Refinery, located in Rosemount, MN, is actively seeking a highly motivated Instrumentation, Electrical and Controls (IEC) Field Engineer. Our Team Our IEC team provides constructability, planning, execution, and commissioning for a wide range of projects and turnarounds within the refinery. What You Will Do Facilitate the planning, execution, and commissioning of instrumentation, process control, and electrical systems for ongoing operations, refinery shutdowns, and turnarounds, accommodating various shift schedules, including extended days during turnarounds Execute detailed designs and coordinate with requisite resources to ensure the successful installation of IEC systems Collaborate with the Project Team to establish accurate timelines, cost estimates, and comprehensive scopes for large-scale deployment projects Manage the integration of device requests from conceptualization to operational data collection in the field Explore and trial innovative technologies and systems to revolutionize field processes Engage with various refinery departments to meet overarching business objectives Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Technical or Bachelor's degree in an electrical, instrumentation, or controls discipline OR Five (5) years or more of hands-on technical experience with instrumentation and/or electrical systems in an industrial environment Experience in interpreting relevant drawings and schematics (i.e., PIDs, Instrument loop diagrams, electrical schematics) What Will Put You Ahead Prior experience in the refining sector or supporting the petrochemical industry Experience in construction and project execution (maintenance, field engineering, construction management, project management) Knowledge and understanding of relevant codes, standards, and industry best practices, including NFPA 70E, NEC, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) Experience in maintaining and generating engineering documentation for electrical systems, including drawings and schematics Experience in instrumentation, automation systems, and process control technologies At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
