Company Overview:

Our client is an Islip-based HVAC contractor specializing in commercial MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects. They handle large-scale work, including hospitals, high-rises, and hotels.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of estimating experience , specifically in MEP construction. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and have a passion for cost estimation, this role is for you!

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.

• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to understand project scope and requirements.

• Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and cost estimates.

• Perform quantity take-offs and develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.

• Participate in pre-bid meetings, occasional site visits, and client presentations.

• Monitor project costs and provide ongoing support to project managers during the construction phase.

  Qualifications:

• 5+ years of estimating experience, specifically in HVAC construction.

• 5+ years’ experience in large-scale commercial, high rise, hospital or school construction projects.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
